Lying in bed this morning browsing the web on ipad I thought I would check to see who has tv rights to the 2015 RWC.

In nz it looks like sky have it and they have not yet decided whether prime will have delayed, live or just highlight coverage yet. (If you know please advise!)

I then noted that itv in the uk has already stated it will be showing games and you can watch live on itv iplayer.

So is the simplest way to watch games going to be via itv over ipad connected to tv via hdmi ?

Or does anyone have a better suggestion ? Other than sky that is !

It sounds like Sky NZ are looking at providing streaming sports packages to non-subscribers - not sure if that'll be up and running before the RWC though. I have the ITV app so that'll be my first choice also, though the streaming quality can be a bit patchy.

Sky's streaming has been utter garbage until now - NEON is SD only FFS.

I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

Might be worth waiting for the inevitable sky special offer package around RWC, signing up then cancelling. Though they may try and lock you into a contract.

Do they still do subscribe a friend?

As in what forms? On PC?

I find Sky Go pretty ok on my iPad Air, after you allow a few secs of buffering, its pixellated fpr that short period. Not tried Airplay to TV, as there is no point, but I might try that.

Fanpass is $199, or $16 a month for Super Rugger, League and F1. Thats not bad if your into 2 of those 3 sports, or if you are into one of them and want to remove Sky

I'm not sure Sky will do the future $20/week or $15/day pass for RWC, otherwise some will drop Sky and use that.

Me, well, given the time difference,  the games will have to be recorded, or I watch delayed coverage, which leaves me hoping prime will hev delayed full games

Can't airplay Sky Go - won't let you.

Not even using a cable.

Pity, just like the two FTA on demands, no Airplay

yep I would be happy paying for a season pass for the super 15 but im not happy about having to pay an additional $10 per month for HD content when I can get it free through a 3rd party box. Just send me the Sky card with a season pass to rugby...and that will be fine.

As for RWC itv iplayer still seems best value as I can watch what and when I want to watch it, just have to use HDMi to ipad (ithink this is only 720p and letter boxed on tv..though but still)
