Anyone using a (Smart) LG TV and Netflix? The Netflix app was recently updated and now I have lots of problems connecting to Netflix, it says there is a connection problem and gives a code nw-2-5
I can connect fine to Youtube etc so its not a lack of internet to the TV and other apps on the same network connect to Netflix just fine so I am presuming the new app is at fault.
Anyone else seen this?

Mines working fine, its a 47lm6410 bought early 2013.

It used to "lock up" when loading but now seems fine, but I haven't checked if the version has changed sorry.

I had some issues as well. I signed out of Netflix on the TV, turned it off. Then logged into the web interface and 'signed out of all devices'. Then signed in again on the TV. Seemed to fix it.

Thinking about it I might have removed the app on the TV for good measure after signing out. Then reinstalled after doing the bit on the web.

Is it a WebOS TV or earlier?

Its a Nov 2014 WebOS model. Finally spoke to LG help, what a procedure. They told me the TV did not support Netflix even though I pointed out it showed up in the App store and had been running fine until the new version of the app appeared. I finally had to do a reset of the TV, the CSR said this is necessary whenever an app is updated!
All good now but I dont think my next TV will be an LG.

I have a 2014 LG and netflix app has updated a few times and I have never had to reset the TV . LG customer care sounds a bit off .

I have updated a few other apps without this sort of bother. I am just waiting to see if we get an update to WebOS 2 else it will be trade in time.

Yes, its supposed to happen in the 2nd half of this year. My TV got an update for the current WebOS 1 and now the TV is really slow so I am hoping WebOS 2 speeds things up.

EDIT, added CNET quote

The company has confirmed to CNET that its 2014 Web OS 1.0-equipped TVs, including sets like the 55EC9300 OLED, will be updated to version 2.0 of the operating system.

The update will happen sometime in the second half of 2015, and will be rolled out to every 2014 TV with Web OS, in every territory worldwide.

HAve a look on the LG site for an update to put on a USB stick. There was one there for me that fixed netflix playback breaking up into a sea of green pixels, but the tVs own menu said it was up to date.

Had a look, only had manuals to download for my model 50LB650V  :-(

EDIT

@Richms

Was that on the LG.com/nz site or some other?
