So Bathurst next weekend and id like to find a DECENT stream to watch preferrably get on to the official V8SC one, pay the $20 and stream via VPN...

1)anyone had any luck with streaming sites for v8sc (NOT vipbox)

Did anyone have success last year watching the paid V8SC stream via VPN using thier New Zealand Credit card to pay for the stream on thier site? or does it need to be an overseas CC??

FWIW i put a request to getflix to put the v8sc stream on thier list of channels. not holding my breath.

You want the race - $15 on fanpass
you want the weekend - $20 on fanpass.

It'll be on SkySport 4 over the weekend. Starts with Practice 1 on the Thursday and goes right through.
ie its not a pop-up channel (unless they change from whats in the guide)

Getflix already support V8 SuperView.
I have been using them since the beginning of last year

Last year I watched it straight from the channel 7 (oz) website - wasn't geo blocked at all and very reliable

Thanks didnt realise about fanpass. wiil try the weeklong and see how it is before the day. might even end up with the league final as a bonus

Well yes it will be streaming live on TENPlay as Channel Ten is the Free-to-Air broadcaster of the V8 Supercars. And as such, yes it would be free. But of course you'll note on their website:

Check out the homepage, you might find what you’re looking for there! Click on any of the videos and you’ll go direct to the video player. Now just press play and lean back.

If you can’t find your show or episode on the homepage, you can use the “Browse TV” dropdown menu in the main navigation to locate your show.

Please note that due to rights restrictions, video on TENplay is not available for viewing from outside of Australia. In the case of the live news and live broadcasts, you are only be able to watch a live stream as you would in the the area you are currently in. For example, if you live in Brisbane but are staying in Perth, you would only have access to the Perth live feed because of the time difference.

Also considering fanpass.

I used the V8SC with vpn last year with less than ideal results.

I'm assuming it no longer on a Sat feed for free anymore?

What's the best AD FREE option, completely uninterrupted?

The old sat stream showed the fun thing from start to finish without a single advert...

After following various threads last year, there were many complaints about the huge number of ad breaks in the FTA coverage. I have also heard good things about Sky's coverage, so will most likely Fanpass it this year.

I'm just pleased there is a legitimate, reliable (to date) option that doesn't involve a 12-month contract.

As of right now - yes. I'd imagine they will upset many people if they change it now.
