I noticed last night that FilmOn have released an app for Samsung Smart TV's and the streaming quality for live UK TV is reasonably good. Watched the All Blacks game this morning on my 55 (Tizen OS) Sammy and was impressed. Also noticed the app is available for 2013 models.

Overall quality is no worse than Sky SD channels.

Thats the issue with these many alternative services. We are in a HD era, yet we still seek below par viewing, yet we complain about SD quality elsewhere

Ive just tried to watch the England Oz game and the app just drops out every few minutes, guessing it might be overloaded with nervous fellow Englishmen. Back to the ITV player on iPad

Yep, same here but thankfully it cleared up and was ok until about 10 minutes from the end. Yesterdays AB game was buffer free all the way through thankfully.

I have to admit ITV Player is superb on my phone and Tab, but there is something nice about watching a 32 inch Sammy in bed on a Sunday morning.

I watched it on my 60" TV using ITV on a  Kodi on a Pi2 and the quality was pretty good. I would say no worse than the SD stuff Vodafone sends down the cable.

Thanks for the tip. Worked well on my F series (2013) Samsung.

Yes, it is my understanding that the Smart Hub must be changed to UK. Just be aware that if you are using any NZ apps, they will disappear.

eyeondemand.com has plenty of walk-throughs for making these changes.
