This looks cheap someone with a U.K DNS service might like to give it a try? and report back here?

TVPlayer Plus goes live From http://advanced-television.com/2015/10/06/tv-player-plus-goes-live/

Announced in July 2015 with the aim of providing an alternative pay-TV option to Sky, BT TV and Virgin Media, UK over-the-top television platform TVPlayer is commercially launching its low-cost subscription service TVPlayer Plus, which offers premium TV channels including Discovery Channel, TLC, British Eurosport, Cartoon Network, HISTORY, Lifetime, Gold and Sony Movie channel for £4.99 (€7.05) per month, with no set-up fee and no contract, positioning itself as one of the cheapest ways to watch such channels in the UK. The service is aimed at households looking to lower their monthly TV bills or top up their Freeview viewing with extra channels. With 25 entertainment, factual and kids channels, there is something for everyone including original factual programming, new dramas, British classics and UK premieres on Sony Entertainment Television. Real life can be found on TLC; British Eurosport features all of the latest live sporting events including the Cycling Road World Championships. Discovery Channel brings the best in factual.

TVPlayer Plus enables subscribers to watch all the TV they love, anywhere in the UK, whether in the home or on the go, across up to three devices including their computer, mobile, tablet or a Samsung Smart TV. An Internet connection is required but unlike some pay-TV services, there is no need to have a phone line rental, giving consumer’s significant annual savings.

“TVPlayer is a popular online TV platform used by over half a million UK users every day. Many of these haven’t had access to pay-TV before,” noted Adam Smith, Founder of TVPlayer, adding that some pay-TV services could be expensive and at times require long-term contracts. “For £4.99 a month, TVPlayer Plus is a great option for viewers who want lots of choice without being locked into a contract, offering the latest must-see TV on 25 channels you won’t find on Freeview,” he declared.

TVPlayer continues to offer a large selection of Freeview channels available at no cost. Subscribers can use the in-built TV Guide to find and watch their favourite TV shows, customise their channel order and set reminders so they never miss a show again. Additionally a catch up function offers a selection of the best programmes from the previous seven days across selected channels.

TVPlayer Plus is available on iOS, Mac and PC. TVPlayer Plus will also launch exclusively on Samsung Smart TVs and will soon be available on Android devices and Amazon Fire TV. Television lovers can sign up for a seven-day trial at tvplayer.com/plus.

I see Unotelly supports it. It has a couple of channels that I'd be interested in. I'm away on holiday at the moment but I might give it a burl when I get home. For $10 a month it seems like good value. Plenty of free channels on there if you don't want to pay.

Testing it too, works really good, although I have subscribed to the Plus pack but get Error ID 0, sent a support ticket to their team on why this is happening, running UnoTelly.

Looks like a step in right direction. UK TV is horrendous with their device limits when compared to Comcast (yes the most hated cable TV provider)

It does, although I can stream Freeview UK channels fine, it's just the channels within the Plus pack that have issues, escalated to TVPLAYER support saying It's because I am in NZ but I don't understand if UnoTelly should already unlock the channels. Is there a dynamo setting to adjust and which one?

Well I was asking about the raw stream link as its Geo blocked here as I'm not on a DNS service,

But the tvplayer.com  raw link should be a great source for the rugby for those with dns services ..

Just confirming that the free streams work fine with Unotelly. But interestingly with Unotelly turned off, they also work if you use the AnonymoX extension to Chrome

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/anonymox/icpklikeghomkemdellmmkoifgfbakio/related?hl=en

However as a caveat, those free proxy servers might have some hidden gotcha's (I have heard less than good things about Hola) and minimally track all your access.  Saying that Unotelly also has that ability but I guess we trust them?

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

I have got the tech team to find the geoblocked server and will activate the plus channels on Monday.

thanks for the heads up, good to know about this one.
Lots of free stuff to watch although I got lots of buffering which is something I don't get on ITV

DNS4Me and UFB30/10

How's it working for other GZers?

Did you try the direct raw URL stream? in vlc it should adjust to the best bitrate / resolution for your connection

Ill rip the rest of the streams and put them into a .m3u playlist

Sorry to say, also not good enough to be watchable (for me anyways).
A bit of buffering, pixilation and occasionally washing out .

Otherwise fine tongue-out

We can normally stream Netflix , itv and other services just fine so not too sure where to look for improvements.

Cheers,
Chris
