They need to provide a service better than the free ones.

Neon. Or should that be NEearllyON but not quite.

3rd time in the last 7 days we cant get it. Don't ask about prior to that.

200/200 Mbps fibre and the system doesn't work on my galaxy tab, my galaxy s5, my iPhone, my windows 7 pc or my windows 10 pc. It doesn't work on 4g it doesn't work on fibre or alternative 3g. In short it doesn't work.

Oh wait ... it's now working but it seems there are too many devices registered so I need to remove one. Bugger ... that functionality is broken too.

Let's try watch32 or put locker. Wow .. look at the range of content, and it doesn't pause, and it works on all my devices and it's free.

So tell me again ... why should we pay for content?

Good point...why not ditch their antediluvian service and go with a different SVOD provider that uses modern technology and provides HD options?

Last night the other half asked me if we could watch Unforgotten episode one via sky go.

Login, click on episode one.

"This content is unavailable" when it was clearly still available.

Logout, login again, click "content not available" logout login and it now works !

What rubbish usability.

If I had bit torrented it, I would have the  whole series ....

Who? I tried others and they all seem to be rubbish - hanging, pausing, etc etc. Quickflix and one others whose name escapes me.

Netflix. That is all.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Think the escapee was light box?

Netflix only good if regions were dumped or everyone had "also" access to US...

Even so, stealing is stealing so torrents/free make you a thief.
Paying for Netflix and breaking T&C is another 'grey' area but at least I'm paying them what it's worth in their own country!

I have a suspicion, based on some experience, that illegal services are often better than legal ones. This may be because they are not crippled by all the over the top restrictions and added costs imposed by copyright and intellectual property requirements. Yes, content creators should be paid, but that does not mean that the whole parasitic 'compliance' industry that has grown up around them also needs to be given a free ride.

It still seems Hollywood wants to hold on to their archaic way of doing things. On the bright side for me my service is still working to the USA but then I suspect it is because it is a USA Netflix account that I use.
