Anyone know a way around this? I tried purchasing a gift card but it still seems to look at my credit card loaded against my account.

I have added my one smart but it has no funds on it as yet, anyone know if this will work before I go loading my US wallet.

Thanks.

Buy an amazon gift card with your one smart card, add it to your Amazon account. Remove all credit cards from your Amazon account. Rent. Enjoy.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

I use my account for a lot of purchases so don't really want to remove my main card. Had a look and found the movie I want on NZ iTunes so will just use iTunes on my HTPC to watch it.

Seems a bit inconsistent that they allow a non-US card for Amazon Prime streaming but then won't allow you to rent or purchase a video.

But you can buy the same movie on a disk..

Not this one. Only released on streaming.

Have the exact same problem. I still haven't tried any workaround for this.

I bought a gift card and applied it to my account but was unable to use it.  However when I purchase an eBook on Amazon  it comes off the gift card??

I have a new VISA Debit card but haven't tried it out yet to see if that works.  Would rather pay to watch/stream a new release movie than download a crap copy.

Um, yes it does and has done for some time. What is not available is TV shows.

After you apply the gift card you have to remove the credit card.

Hi there freitasm .  I had a look at Amazon's gift  cards / vouchers  and it's a bit confusing.  Can you link to a sample  one that you have used??

If you go to your account there's a link to reload your gift card balance - you don't even have to buy one...

Will post screenshot later.

Try the payoneer card link at the bottom of the page. I've been using them for a while, they're good. When the card number was stolen they were reasonably responsive and helpful.

Payoneer require a $3 a transaction, fee? Am I reading that correctly?

They charge a percentage to load money onto the card and they charge a percentage if you withdraw cash. There are no fees to spend money on your card when you're using it as a regular credit card. Otherwise I haven't noticed any transaction fees. I just checked my statement and the only fees are load fees of 1%.
