Hi Guys,

As suggested a more appropriate post for my problem with chromecast. Does anyone know how to block google dns on a TC7210 Technicolor modem on vodafone cable?. I tried parental block of 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4 as i do with my vodafone VDSl modem but still get play back issues on the chromecast for BBS iplayer. A friend did suggest port fowarding any ideas?, sorry i am still learning about routers

Cheers

Stu

Can't help with the query, but Google DNS is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Might be your problem if the parental blocks don't work.

It's not a particularly highly regarded product though.

Old post I know, but maybe you are still needing help.
My Mum had a technicolor TG582n, and I redirected the google dns traffic to the modem-router itself. Maybe the same (or slightly modified instructions) will work for your modem-router

About a year ago I wrote instructions and posted them in GZ, but cannot find them now, Anyway they were based off these instructions from unlocator.com
