I noticed on the latest Android App update for 3Now that TV3 now offer live stream 24/7:

This is of course also aviaalble on the TV3 website: http://www.tv3.co.nz/livestreams.aspx

I'm really pleased to finally see this. TV3 and TVNZ did offer some content live but this is the first time a mainstream NZ TV station has offered all content avialable to stream live online.

For me, this is great as I don't have live TV (and rely solely on internet on demand content).

Hopefully TVNZ will follow suit.

Does anyone know it's possible to get the stream URL? It would be cool if I could watch on my RPi.

So awesome! Really hoping TVNZ follow this, like they have with DUKE.

I hope both TVNZ and TV3 introduce Chromecast soon too

wish tvnz and media works would come out of the dark ages and allow chromecast/airplay capabilities (at a minimum)

Last time the networks commented  on Chromecast they considered it as item that encouraged  piracy.

With that attitude I'm surprised they didn't broadcast with macrovision to stop VHS systems.

That's not really true as TVNZ has streamed Duke live since it launched.

It would be great if all the stations streamed live in full HD (or at least equivalent to UHF freeview quality.)

We have fast internet everywhere in the house, but only good reception in the lounge (due to external antenna.)

I've just been watching the stream and the quality is really bad, too much movement on the screen and you can barely see anything.

Just tried it and as mentioned above the quality is pretty bad. The stream also froze after about a minute (on an iPhone) at which point I just closed it.
