Hi there... New 2 the forums but am currently seeking a good DNS Server to setup to unblock geoblocked services (My main aim, Channel 9 Australia from 9now.com.au)

All seems to be going well, am using Dns4me atm for livestreaming Channel 9 Australia but so far... Almost every DNS server I have tried would always slow down, buffer each live stream from 9Now, dns4me occuring every so often, using Getflix slows down frequently and Unotelly doesnt even buffer the stream at all (or if a miracle happens, would stream @ slow speeds)

Are there any suggestions for dns servers to bypass 9now geoblock that is considerably fast and at a reasonable price

Cheers

BTW: Network Speeds here: https://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5507293719

D/L: 16.43mbps

U/L:0.94mbps

Spark VDSL with an upload of 0.94Mbit - I think you've got a line problem which is related to your streaming performance.

I'm going to change this since it is not due to your provider, it is due to your line. Could you please grab your link sync details from your router? Also, ensure you've tried the likes of dns4me over Ethernet (and not WiFi) to ensure it isn't a problem with your wireless.

I'm watching the footy show live now on 9NOW using dns4me and having no problems and I don't recall ever having any problems streaming it.

I'm in Auckland but have Fibre 200/200 which is probably why.  I'm guessing it's just your internet speed rather than the unblocking services you have tried.

Also just make sure you haven't subscribed to any services that will conflict with 9NOW (highlighted in yellow in your services tab in the user console of dns4me).  If you hover over the service you will see the conflicts.

Michaelmurfy -- sorry im unable 2 find the Link Sync Details in my router (had a look at the router settings at 192.168.x.xxx etc address) ...any suggestions on retrieving it? (Spark HG630b Home Gateway). I can provide the fact that the house is old, heavy construction works are going on around our whole community (Google Search Tamaki Regeneration) who probably mucked up our line, and this speed has been like this for a year since signing on w/ Spark... I was sure of this before but they're useless for fixing this...

jat80 -- That was my exact intention tonight... actually that show (and a lot of others since May) kept cutting out which led me to creating this post.  However I sometimes think It's either Spark when it happens here... or Dns4Me whenever this occurs on another Fibre Connection at a different place -- Or Channel 9 themselves for supplying the live stream feed at 4-6MB/s ...Because the stream stopping at least 4 times isn't pleasant.

I can provide verbose logs of the stream being commenced (using ffmpeg, if anyone knows what that is) if that'd help

No problem here with any of the 9 channels on 30/10 fibre NO dns or vpn service , but using livestreamer and pushing the stream through a free proxy.

On your slowish conection, you might do better to load the lower bandwidth versions of each stream

the options are 234p 240p 360p 480p 720p

@9phoenixl if you ask @wheelbarrow01 very nicely he'll be able to check your connection is performing as it should. It seems this isn't the case. It honestly just sounds like you don't habe enough bandwidth (saturated upstream).

As per providers can confirm dns4me works no problems.

Alright. Just attempted running the Dns4me DNS Server and Settings from my school Network (Spark Fibre w/ D/L 20.31MBps and U/L 16.98MBps) and confirmed no issues throughout the whole of the Today show on Nine. Am accepting that now it turned out to be my network connection. Thanks for yr help. any idea how to close this thread?

Cheers
