Just bought the Chromecast Ultra from NL for $110 as a joint Xmas Pressie.

Though we have a Smart TV (Panasonic TH-L50E6Z 2014 model) the Netflix and other app's in general are all rather slow to respond. We are also an Apple nut household but decided we did not want to spend $270 to $350 on the Apple TV (yet).

We got the Chromecast so we could watch Netflix ($15) and Lightbox (free) to watch shows like The Crown, Mr Robot, House of Cards, Stranger Things, Vikings, Dominion plus others, (well it is the ratings off season)

It's connected via Ethernet, even though we do have a really good Apple home WiFi network all connected to a Spark Fibre 100 plan.

We have added a new activity to the venerable Harmony One remote. One little criticism to make about Netflix sound though; the central front (voice) level is down. Do not have this problem with Lightbox or FTA programs via the Home theatre 7:1 system. Have gotten around this by turning up the TV sound which is usually off when listening via the HT system.

We are loving it and should have gone this way earlier. Though I think we are going to have to bump our Spark data allowance upto 'unlimited' from the 120GB. We have used 24GB in 3 days.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
