I have 2 Fire TV media players at home, both have worked fine for over a year. Past couple of nights I have encountered an issue trying to watch a couple of TV series. When I select an episode to watch it just takes me to a screen showing a few options like "View with Prime Membership', Watch in HD for $xxx etc. I select Prime Membership but it just cycles back to that screen with viewing options. Normally it just plays the episode but it almost appears it isn't seeing my Prime membership associated with both Fire TV devices.

I was able to watch an episode just fine from the laptop via a browser.

Anyone else encounter a similar issue?

I have seen that before, it seemed to be a unotelly issue and came right.

Mine is unplugged at the moment as I rearrange the games consoles etc, but will be getting it sorted today inorder to watch the grand tour so will update with how things are going.

There is a thread about this in the unblocking forum. Request access to that for more info.

Cheers, Matt

Currently using a DNS/VPN type service as part of my Prime Membership streaming access. Thanks for the replies, will check out the Blocking forum.

I've been seeing this issue for a couple of weeks now. I contacted Unotelly, but as yet I've not got anywhere with them.

I have found that if I factory reset the Fire TV, the problem goes away. After about 3 hours, it comes back again.

I tested with another Smart DNS provider, and the problem has gone away. This is definitely an Unotelly issue.

Still waiting to hear back from them.

I have just received an email from Unotelly informing me that they are aware of the issue and currently working on a fix.

DNS4ME fixed the problem in a few minutes once they had identified the problem which was a new API. Great service.

There is also a problem with BBC which Unotelly are looking into. This doesn't appear to affect all devices, but does affect the app on the Fire TV.

Their engineers are apparently trying to fix both issues.

A question can you be logged into two different DNS suppliers on the same IP address at the same time

Yes, but not on the same device. You would have to reconfigure the DNS address on the device depending on which service you wanted to use.

We're currently registered with Unotelly and Smart DNS Proxy. Currently deciding whether to leave Unotelly, despite our current subscription not expiring until March.

Unotelly are still working on the Amazon Video issue but don't have an ETA for a fix.

I jumped ship at the weekend. I gave Unotelly 3 weeks to fix the problem (despite dns4me getting it done overnight) and their payment options have shrunk to Bitcoin or Payment Wall. I was quite reluctant to move as they've been targetted by the geoblockers but they haven't handled it at all well.
