So I read that Netflix on Microsoft Edge will do 4K streaming under these conditions and these conditions only

- Windows 10 - Tick

- 4K screen - Tick (umm why would you miss streaming on 4K if the screen is not 4K)

- Intel Kaby Lake

Ok so I need to upgrade my CPU (Skylake) just to check this out ...

I read that there was a HDCP requirement too for the screen to video card, which means that getting it on a 1440p screen so you're looking at better than 1080 content is probably not possible :(

kaby lake is if you are decoding in the onboard video. Dont see why they shouldnt support graphics card decoding eventually but intel probably had a say in getting first dibs to make a deal for their new chips.

joker97: I'm guessing you don't have Kaby Lake ...

Kaby lake supports 4K UHD graphics in the HD Graphics 615 and I am not sure, it looks like the HD Graphics 620 supports DCI 4k.

I understand that netflix requires hdmi 2.0 and hdcp 2.2 to display 4k. I am not sure what processor SKU supports that yet.
