I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but:

The Android-N update for the Nvidia Shield Android TV will include an Amazon Video app. The update should be available in the next week or so, but for those who cant wait I found a link on the Nvidia forums this morning.

I just installed this on my Shield and can confirm it's working.

I just received my new Nvidia Shield TV today, and the Amazon Video app disappeared from the home screen shortly after boot.
Talking with Amazon Support, apparently "it's not ready yet" with no word on when it's officially available here.

Having said that, if you ensure that the language is set to English (US) and that Location is disabled in the Settings, the tile will re-appear on the home screen, and the app runs just fine.

HTH someone who has the same issue.

Seems crazy that they'd make the subscriptions available here, but restrict the apps with geo-blocks.

Hey do you guys use your Shield TVs to watch OTA TV? Keen to know if they play well with HD Homerun units here in NZ

I am using my Shield to watch live TV from my TVHeadend server. Works fine both through the built in Live Channels app and via Kodi. I can't see there being an issue with an HD Homerun unless the Android TV app doesn't support your model of Homerun.

Regarding the Amazon Video app. The problem is unlike the Netflix app it doesn't filter content by region so it just shows whats available in the region the app came from. So some videos will play fine, but then when you try and play another video it fails with a region error. They need to rebuild the app with support for multiple regions, which I suspect they are working on now.

Yep, HDHomeRun is working on my Shield TV. It still crashes quite often when changing channels, but I get the same behaviour on my phone and my Nexus Player. The EPG shows up properly in the Live Channels Guide too, which is nice.
