Hi, I don't have a working antenna on the roof, and use fibre at home from streaming entertainment.

I'm getting frustrated with the TVNZ on demand & 3NOW, and am keen to get some info...

are these services working for anyone on iPad or iPhone? I've got multiple devices all with the latest version of the Apps, and either iOS 9 or 10.

None of them will play anything from TVNZ on demand. I first tried a few weeks ago, and when it didn't work I thought it was just bad luck and would try again later.

Here I am tonight and the missus is asking to watch a TV show, and its still not working.

It plays an advertisement, then "This content is not available right now"

I am using standard 2 degrees broadband (ex snap) DNS. I have tried unblocking DNS using DNS4ME, no luck either.

I'm using IPV4 (6 is disabled in the outer)

I have checked the support pages, and believe I meet all the requirements for devices, bandwidth, OS versions, etc.

I have used the contact page to lodge a support request? (With no answer).

Beginning to get a bit fed up with it.

3 Now - when i go to watch a live steam, it loads the video player, and shows a play symbol with a score through it (like a no smoking sign), unless I choose the music channel which streams.

I'm going to try my Galaxy Tab S now, but it won't airplay so its really only academic. Netflix, neon, rugbypass, etc all work no problem.

Anyone got some experience or suggestions with this? Does it even work for anyone?

delete the apps and reinstall

there is nothing funny or tricky about either app and how they work, and neither requires an unblocker or similar to function.

Note if you are using a vpn to get a US address for other applications, these 2 apps won't work because of the geolock stuff content producers insist gets built in to these apps. Use a normal NZ IP address like most of the country does.

Both require registration to function.

I have just tried both apps from my phone now and they operate without a glitch.

I'm not using DNS4ME on these devices. I tired it quickly to see if it made a difference.

I've tried removing the Apps & re-installing. No joy.

The android app does the same. Must be my internet connection or login or something?? Hmm..

EDIT: Tried my mac, TVNZ on demand won't play in the browser there either.

Does your IP start with 100.x.x.x?

I have heard of several different services having issues recently (like the Microsoft emails bouncing, and a specific Motorhomer having their IP banned by "AASolar" and other weird stuff) so another trick might be powercycling your router to get a new IP allocated and potentially drop your current one that might have been listed somewhere for something nefarious...

Sorted.

I ended up upgrading the fritzbox to the latest firmware and all devices are going now.

Not sure if it was a router thing or the process just renewed my WAN IP like you suggest. Thanks for the suggestions.
