I use Amazon along with Hulu.  Remember "Unsolved Mysteries" - there's a lot of that kind of stuff which I really enjoy.  Also watching Fortitude, so some good serious stuff too.  I think it's worth it.

Yes I use it.

Totally depends what you're using it for. As I visit the US 2-3 times per year I also benefit from the shipping.

I use both Amazon Prime and Netflix. Prime because of shipping and Instant Video included options.

Yes I use Amazon Prime mainly now for TV and movies. Use it way more than Netflix.

I presume you need a DNS for prime?

It also says it includes music?

When you say shipping, what does that mean? For buying movies?

I havnt had US netflix for ages and a bit tired of NZ netflix, so would Prime be worth a few months trial?

Which DNS is the best value and most reliable?

Are the clients available on PS4 or Xbox One for NZ yet?

For PS4 yes, but for some reason most of the things I wanted to watch are geo-restricted.

Isn't this for shipping within US? If I remember correctly, the last free shipping to NZ they had was through AmazonGlobal, which they did away with a few years back.

Are there any other benefits apart from getting items from Amazon to the YouShop warehouse?

Amazon Prime is a service that gives free shipping for most products within the USA, discounts, a free Kindle book every month, access to magazines (with a number that you can "borrow" every month" on Kindle) and more. It also includes a lot of TV series and movies -. In addition to Amazon Prime Instant Video you have access to rent/buy online movies/TV series . The best way of taking advantage of Amazon Prime is with an Amazon Fire TV or Amazon Video app on your Android device (no casting yet though).

Amazon Prime video is available in NZ but the catalogue is not near large as the US-based one. For access to the US catalogue you need a USA-based credit card or reload your Amazon Gift Card balance and use it instead. You need a DNS service (such as DNS4Me).

I use my NZ ASB Visa and gift cards for access to US content.

The US version has movies like Spectre, Creed, MI5, Eye in the Sky to name a few that I don't think the NZ one has.

I really like my Amazon Prime membership, it's the first thing I renew, I'd drop a lot to be able to continue it. As I also buy stuff from the USA the shipping is good too.

I signed up to a Prime trial the other day to get free shipping to a Youshop US address.

Just tried to access the Prime Video Android app without VPN etc and most stuff is not watchable due to Geo restrictions. It does say that I am currently 'abroad'.

So I logged in with Pure VPN to LA, now movies like Spectre works.

Its a pitty I can't chromecast.
