Hello,

Since yesterday I have not been able to open the Netflix site from either chrome or edge. Every time I get the message "www.netflix.com’s server DNS address could not be found". I am able to watch Netflix with my Amazon Fire TV okay. Can anyone help me with the browser issue?

Thanks,

David

Are you using IPV6? I've had this issue before (for a specific laptop). Turned off IPV6 and it started working again.

Can you open a command prompt (windows key + r then type cmd click ok) then type
nslookup www.netflix.com
and post the out put here.

To copy the output, hold right mouse button down and drag over the lines you want to copy. Press enter will copy the selected text into the clipboard.

Okay, last night was unable to open the Netflix app again on my Fire TV and this morning am unable to open the Netflix site with Chrome. Below is the nslookup result.

PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> nslookup www.netflix.com
Server: UnKnown
Address: 192.168.1.1

*** UnKnown can't find www.netflix.com: Non-existent domain
PS C:\WINDOWS\system32>

any advice?

thanks, David

thanks for the reply, Linux.

I think I may have found the fix for me. I use dns4me and if I go into "IP access zone" and select "use current IP", then try Netflix again I was able to get the site to load in Chrome. I don't know if this was the fix or if it was just coincidence.
