just got an email from Plex this morning to say "live TV is here", free to all plex pass holders.

"View channels in your area" says the button

Hmm, sounds interesting. Choose 'New Zealand'....

"Sorry, we couldn't find any OTA providers!"

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Well yeah, you need a tuner and an antenna on the Plex server to get it working.... it's not broadcasting over the internet.

The point is that Plex doesn't support any of the channels in NZ even if you have a tuner.

Not perfect, but there is an alternative (unless you've paid for Plex already)...

It does, while my IOS client crashed, I was able to see my channels (hdhomerun dual) - Also it's only available on IOS and Android, not browser (and I'd assume windows clients) - https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1450237/#Comment_1450237

It's available on iOS and Android TV, not regular Android OS, believe it or not! Yes, I asked them.

Its Emby (https://emby.media/). Pretty good. Well, works for me, though your mileage may, of course, vary. Has its pluses and minuses. Will require parting with money to use it properly, but its $5US pm if you wanted to check it out properly. Similar to Plex - Free server, various clients, mix n match.
