Has anyone got amazon prime video running on an iPad AND US content via a vpn?

I thought I'd give it a go with their 7 day trial (currently use netflix and hulu via vpn) and I can get full US content on the iMac with vpn running but with same vpn running on iPad I only get what appears to be the NZ content.

I want it on the iPad so I can airplay to the tv via ATV.

I have the amazon prime video app on the samsung tv but it still only gives me NZ content, even when I tap into the VPN stream from the iMac.

It's ludicrous that we have to jump through all these hoops (as paying customers) just to watch tv but there you go.

I would think you will need to get it from  us appstore to get us content . When I downloaded it there was no nz amazon so you had to get it with a us account. I use dns4me works great.

At one stage I did when I did a trial. I recall I got the app off the US store.

I can only get US content on my Sony BD player, as soon as I try and get US content on the iPad, I get TV shows and Bollywood movies only, disconnect DNS and all the NZ content is back. The US content is preferable given it has Fox & HBO TV series not available with NZ shows.

Just waiting on the Apple TV app now...

Yes I got it from the US app store (using US apple account) and using vanishedvpn which works fine for netflix/hulu/CH4/BBC player etc

Yes, this is exactly what I get. Really enjoying "The Night Manager" but will find it hard to justify for the limited NZ content after that.

So is there an apple TV app in the rumour mill?

So have you created a US account to use on the ipad prime  app? Not sure if that makes any difference. I know I can't see what is available to NZ prime users with my US account. I would have to create new nz account to do so, so same in reverse?

If you mean US account for amazon prime I just took up the 7day then $2.99 offer from my existing 10 year old amazon account. It has my NZ credit card linked to it so that is probably the problem. It's just that I can get US content from the video section of the amazon.com site.

I can't see a way of changing my location (from NZ to US) without using a US card?

I paid with a nz credit card as well.

When I signed up I had dns4me set to usa for Amazon, so they think I'm in America so they offer me US content not NZ. If I signed up without dns4me they would sign me up to a NZ account based on my ip location

When you signed up to Prime or when you created your Amazon account originally?

I didn't have a Amazon account before I signed up to Prime.I'm just thinking your Amazon account is NZ so when you sign to Prime they allocate you NZ content.

What makes an amazon account Nz or US? Can I just change the address in my account details? Is it the credit card registered to the account? and why can I see US content from amazon.com (with vpn running) but not from primevideo.com with same vpn running.

I'm thinking I might try the full monty "amazon prime" 30 day trial as opposed to just the "amazon prime video" and see if that makes a difference.

Isn't primevideo Amazons offering to the rest of the world and Amazon prime is USA?
