I just signed up for the free version of USTVnow. I am not particularly a fan of American TV but I lived there for many years so am familiar with the FTA networks.
I don't know if I will actually watch this much but I am impressed with the service. Joining was a breeze, no BS or hidden crap, and I can easily expand my plan to a paid option if I want to. All I needed was my name, email and a password. The service works well and is easy to access.
What I like about this is it could be a model for the future. Anyone who wants to anywhere in the world can sign up, no crap about copyright or geo-blocking. It is a good model and the way things should go. I hope others follow this example. Maybe before long we can be free of all the ridiculous regional crap. Of course premium services should be paid for, but this is definitely the way FTA should go. Kudos to the Americans for coming up with this.
