I just got Fibre 200 and a 4K TV.

I want to upgrade to Netflix from 'Basic' to 'Standard' - essentially adding HD and a extra consecutive screen.

But - I can't work out for the life of me how to do it.

I am signed up through iTunes - they'll let me upgrade then number of devices but not the 'quality' of my account.

I signed out of Netflix online and tried to register the better account hoping it would realise I was trying to upgrade.....but it just logged me back in to my current account and the cycle started again.

I've tried through my phone, Apple TV and the Smart TV app....

Any advice appreciated.

Log into your netflix account via your computer and go to: https://www.netflix.com/YourAccount

Under Plan Details you'll see an option of Change Plan.

Thanks - that's what I've been doing but the prices don't seem to add up.

If I were to sign up through Netflix the prices are:

Basic $11.49 (1 screen - SD)

Standard $14.99 (2 screens - HD)

Premium $18.49 (4 screen - UHD)

When I go click your link (or go to 'change plan' through my other devices) I am sent to iTunes and get:

Netflix 1 screen $9.99 (which I am on now)

Netflix 2 screen $12.99

Netflix 4 screen $15.99

I have assumed because the price is lower and there is no indication that any of these offer HD that they are all SD.

So - it it safe to assume that if I pick the "Netflix 2 screen option" through iTunes that I am getting the HD package offered direct with Netflix?

Thanks again.

Is your iTunes account NZ or US? Those look like the US prices (Edit: perhaps not), and should give you HD on the 2/4 screen plans.

No.

The "Netflix 1 screen option" is SD.

The "Netflix 2 screen option" is HD.

The "Netflix 4 screen option" is 4k.

Looks like iTunes is showing USD?

The 4 screen plan is the UHD/4k option.

When I look at change plan it comes up

Current plan 4 screens plus Ultra HD.

That's even looking at it on iPhone through Safari. I play by credit card though not iTunes.
Maybe change of payment needed.
The iTune prices also look like they're missing GST.

Thanks all for your input.

Turns out the $9.99 is $NZ and includes GST.  Must have been the deal when I signed up??

I decided to upgrade to the 'Netflix 4 screen' - and immediately received confirmation that I have been upgraded to 4K and 4 screens.....

...then 30 seconds later another message saying my monthly subscription would be increasing to $18.49...(Netflix must have been watching this thread ;)  )

All good - time to go and find some 4K content....
