My Chinese wife is over there spending time with her parents, but sadly, her father passed away last week. The plan we have in place is for when this happens, we bring the Mum here to live with us, she is happy about that. She doesn't speak English. Wife says that the Freeview channel here that she watches wont cut it, but we can get a Chinese tech to add something (she is not tech literate) to get access to many Chinese TV channels. I dont want a "tech" messing with our setup here, which is fibre, 12 rooms with a wall outlet holding an ethernet and boosted coax connection. Even though she said it doesnt need the huge dish that used to be the case.
So, I am preferring a VOD solution with a high WAF. I see that VOD is growing in China but that seems more to be international content for China, what I want is Chinese TV via VOD
If there are any asian members who can recommend solutions that will be great. If it was a dish, would that be dedicated to one room, or can it feed into ethernet to be available in more than one room?
re VOD, free or paid is fine, and legal
