Not new news.  Announced last year - and was the precursor to speculation about Amazon bidding for the next round of rights.

NZR and Sky worked closely with WB to produce the series.  Yes, you did read that right, worked with for producing an Amazon series.  I think The Spinoff had an interview with Steve Tew about the series too.

Amazon have done a number of BTS series for sports teams.  I think Man United, Seattle Seahawks and others.  Maybe even an IPL team?  Does it mean bidding?  Amazon got some Thursday night NFL rights last season but are up for renewal again this year (last years non-exclusive was $5m per game).  SkyUK and BT have 5 of the 7 EPL packages for the next rights period, Amazon may pick up the lesser valued packages (yet to be announced I think).
