Sorry if I'm not allowed to discuss here, I've tried to get access to the private forums where it might be "safer" to discuss, but was denied due to my "newb" status.

Currently I have a cheapo VPN which is too slow for any HD streaming but used for other thigngs, a DNS4me and ESPN+ subscription for online streaming, as well as low quality access to some of the more dubious sources.

I'm wondering what people service people are using to stream the nrl, considering the warriors might be in with a shot this year, and generally services that have a broader range than ESPN+ while still having the same quality and price tag.

TIA

Best to have a look around the place and see what goes on and maybe share some of your knowledge to others before they will go giving you the golden key :)

We are all here to have a great discussion and help others but it wears thin if we become ask jeeves...

Cheers!

golden key huh... intriguing ....

well the problem is I don't know what is ok to discuss here, since the pinned posts hint at not being able to discuss some things openly... like geo blocking fixes.

I've also searched around the forums on this topic, a couple suggesting fan pass (overpriced) nrl live pass (overpriced). None of which are what im looking for.

See what is going on there and see if you have any input, you'd be surprised :).

All I am saying is that if you want info that a group of people share between each other to keep everyone in the loop you need to be part of that group and not just someone who wants to know what they know without any of their own skin in the game. I hope you understand and appreciate as to why.

The NRL is pretty locked down in terms of streaming for free, due to the audience that watches it is narrow and it only has a few broadcasters. Not many streams come up and if they do people won't be telling the whole world.

If you have an Australian issued credit card, you can stream all NRL games (and a whole lot more) with Foxtel Now, and in HD for supported devices. That is what I do.

If you don't mind missing tonight's game, all NRL final games (including grand final) are on 9Now. Quality is SD, and you have to put up with Rabs and Gus on the commentary team for most games.

Another option is watchnrl.com. You will need to point your VPN to anywhere outside Australia, NZ and the Pacific Islands, but you can use a NZ issues credit cards. It will have Foxtel's coverage for all games (it's a simulcast of the Fox League channel), except the Grand Final (where it will have Nine's coverage). Super league (UK) games are also subject to a black out.

[edit: And fanpass.co.nz if you want Sky's coverage and the need to re-mortgage your house :P ]

Borrow a friends SkyGo login :) So many of our friends have Sky, yet no idea what SkyGo is and are more than happy for us to use it to watch the big games.

I think the finals are on 9now if you have a VPN or DNS service

Yes, 9now will have all remaining games, including the women's and intrust cup games.
