Anyone else having problems casting TVNZ today? The casting icon is missing from TVNZ page. Lightbox and YouTube are working normally and TVNZ was fine yesterday. I have rebooted the iPad and the Chromecast, but still not working.

WiFi is via GWN7610 with good strength, Chromecast is on Gb ethernet and there have been no changes to the setup since yesterday.

Another case of something doing a background update and letting the customer find the faults?

Same problem here. I applied a TVNZ update a day or 2 ago which is where the problem probably lies.

Still not fixed.

However, one workaround is to login to TVNZ using Chrome browser on a PC and cast from there.

I've got TVNZ casting issues from both iOS and Android phones to my NVidia Shield.

Still not fixed! Still no update on their (TVNZ) website. Still wondering why they have to dick around with things that are working ok in the first place.

Don't think it's related but I will mention this anyway just for the sake of completeness. This afternoon Google Cast completely went down for me. Nothing would work, not even YouTube. I tried several different sites with Chrome on different machines. I kept getting a message that there was no cast device. I use Nvidia Shield, not cast dongle, but it has always worked perfectly. After a time it just started working again, like magic.

Interesting. In my case Chromecast has been working perfectly for Netflix, Lightbox, YouTube and TV3 all via iPad. TVNZ casts ok from Chrome browser but not from iPad.

Haven't tried. I don't like the TVNZ sign-up and I don't watch it anyway, except sometimes the news.
