Anyone else experiencing dropouts and buffering issues lately in Fanpass? I'm using Fanpass Mobile specifically, and lately it has been very unreliable.

I feel like it's linked to capacity as it seems to be really bad when the rugby is on during the weekend, but not as bad while trying to watch the cricket at the moment, presumably because the servers will be under much more stress for the Super Rugby.

Was so bad over the weekend that I couldn't even watch the 2nd half of the Chiefs v Crusaders game, as it just buffered the whole time.

[edit] wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the Sky forum, a mod can move it if Sky would be a better place.

Watching the Highlanders game on Friday night it was faultless for me. Only watched 10 min of a couple of other games ( end of Chief's and a bit of the blues) and it was fine for me.

Highlanders was on a mobile network and others on my home wifi

With Orcon, hmmm, wonder if I should try turning off Wifi next time it happens and see if it's better over mobile, I've got dual sim (OP6T), so can at least try Skinny/Vodafone to give me a reference point, thanks.

so did a wee experiment, tried it yesterday alternating between wifi and mobile data, worked flawlessly on mobile data but on wifi it was buffering all the time. Also tried an ethernet connection using usb otg, different wifi ssid, reset both routers etc, am pretty confident my connection to orcon is what is failing here.

Syphe, does Fanpass have replays, or just highlights?

think it's just highlights, replays would be great, do miss being able to watch the early morning games in the daytime rather than getting up at 2am to watch it.

I just found that on a PC/MAC you can watch what started in the last 24 hours, its called Playback. I assume that supports Chromecast? Although CC by a tab isnt ideal, its perfect in an app but not a browser

I noticed Spark doesnt have any mention of their fan pass promo on the site anymore. New financial year means they have dropped that deal?

FanPass: There's been a few changes here at FAN PASS and we're stoked to announce lower prices for our Month and 6 Month passes from 18 April 2019. Plus, there's loads more exciting changes on the horizon to enable an even better FAN PASS experience! If you're on our 6 month pass the good news is your monthly price will drop down to $38.99 per month at your next billing date. If you currently have a Month Pass, this will roll over on your next billing date at $58.99 per month.
