@Geektastic:

Just on Season 3 of The Man In The High Castle. Intriguing.

Yes that series is definitely on Amazon Prime Video watch list along with "Agatha Christie's The ABC Murders", "A Very English Scandal", "Counterpart", "Homeless", "Hidden Kisses" and "Jack Ryan" plus a few others.

But here is the thing these programs are the only ones that really jump out at me and they are on my APV 'To Watch List'. I reckon that my Netflix subscription has far more content that I want to watch than APV.

I do not have APV, YET, but do plan on getting it when I get an ATV box (awaiting for a hardware update) and my plan has been to do the 10month Netflix cancel/suspend and take out the 6 month US$2.99/m (NZ$4.39/m) APV subscription and watch all the content I am interested in, then suspend APV and reactivate Netflix then wait a year and recycle, though I have noticed that APV have Prime Channels which are separate subscriptions tacked onto your Amazon account. These Channels are for niche programming; HBO, Starz to name just a few and in my case gay channel subscriptions eg. Dekkoo which is a gay movie and TV series streaming service containing gay themed content only.

Another idea is from my brother-in-law who has a nice HT big screen room and at the moment we log into my Netflix account via his ATV HD box and have a good night at the movies. But when I get my ATV he wants to take the full Amazon Prime package and will let me log into his APV from my house. We only live 10min apart but to a certain extent have different viewing tastes.

Question 1: Whether we can do this especially if he is logged in at the same time, I do not know ??

Question 2: Subscribing to APV Channels does this mean I can forgo the use of a VPN service ?? which I would properly have to have if I subscribed direct with the service.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I presume you're talking about Amazon Prime US ? Not sure if you could access those Prime channels, especially from the point of view of actually paying for them (but I've never tried). I doubt if you could get them at all without a vpn or dns.

Not sure if this

might be useful if you want to share stuff. Not sure what a Household is especially regarding being at different locations, though might not be a problem. I imagine you'd both need to use a vpn / dns.
