Hi.

I just picked up an Xbox 360 and saw there is an Amazon Prime app. Unfortunately attempting to download the app says an error about my region not being supported ...

I wasn't using a geo-unblocking service, so I also tried with an unblocking service set to US Amazon Prime, but again no luck.

Is there a way to watch Amazon Prime via the XBox 360 or download the app? I'd prefer to watch the NZ catalogue as I have a subscription to NZ Amazon Prime.

Cheers

Doubt it - as it always was a pretty average streamer.

Seriously - just get a modern streaming device - eg. like the MiBox which can be got for $120-90NZD landed (depending whether it's on sale or not) from BGood or similar - great value Android TV box.

I just set another one up for a friend - comes with YT, Netflix, Plex, Kodi, Spotify, Google Movies/Music etc, RedBullTV, TED etc.

Can sideload Amazon, Lightbox, SparkSport, OnDemand, Stremio etc.

Chromecast built in - handles 4k fine - dedicated wifi remote.

Can do lightweight android gaming and also run emulators like Mame.

Have had mine since launch (2+ years now?) and has been updated several times as it is Android TV based - so means it won't be abandoned like some other boxes.

Ridiculously capable and great value option.

Yes I do this on mine. Not sure if i did anything special to set it up sorry.

Here is my Quic referral https://account.quic.nz/refer/39513 if you are keen to change ISP and to get free setup (save $29). I will get a $50 credit if you use this.  Thank you very much if you use my link but I'm sure there are quite a few others who could share the same on here, no hard feelings if you use a different link.

I’m considering the Mi Box. Does it play NZ Amazon Prime?

I didn’t buy the XBox for streaming purposes but since my Fire TV won’t play NZ Amazon Prime, I thought I’d try the XBox. I also have a chromecast on the other telly which works perfectly.

Cheers

Yep I had Amazon Prime on mine while I had a sub - I believe I had to sideload it - but that's pretty easy to do.
