Anyone like the recent changes to the Plex layout ? I can see what theyre trying to do, its better than the last one, but still pretty crap in my eyes.

Also theyre no pushing everyone to use a dedicated app for viewing.  Which in theory is great, but so far for me, is a huge failure - not a single video will play properly - sound is fine, but no video. Like its missing a codec.

yeah it's different UI and I don't think it works best... now almost half of the screen is navigation menu and content is hidden :(

I have Plex as media server on my home PC and it is all working fine on my Apple TV, iPad pro (through app) and Samsung Galaxy S10+ (through app). No technical or codec issues at all.

Layout is fine - no complaints, but no awards from me either!

Are we talking about the UNO interface? I quite like it on the Nvidia Shield

Yea hate it.

On LG TV, I really dont like that you have to arrow left to get the menu back. I want to just hit the back button.

No playback issues at all, just hate the new layout.

On the whole I'm happy with it. Couple of bits I think could do with some polish. E.g: Used to use the "recently added" list quite a bit and that feels more hidden.

Not had issues but do like when away can hit download and get a copy at the remote location. Have found that useful. I find the pc versions better than the others

I changed the order so mine has on deck at the top, and recently added second in the list.

I love the UI and it's consistency across my devices, and my user's devices.  Makes it so much easier to support.

which plex client are you actually trying to use where you get no video?

you only have the left navigation pane up when you select are wanting to manually select a library, once you select a library its hidden again

how can the actual content be hidden because of this?

This is via the new and recommended Windows app (not the store one) - https://www.plex.tv/blog/desktop-af/

Go back to the browser based and all runs fine.

personally my favourite UI is the official kodi addon.  And i pretty much exclusively use that these days.  you get the better kodi player, but the nicer plex interface/library.  of course that means your device has to run kodi to do this.

The new UI i dont like, it reminds me of the much older plex/boxee interface

in the new plex app try disabling the 'use hardware decoding' setting and see if you get video back  (or enable if its already off)
