I'm not sure if I've got this in the right forum, it seemed the most appropriate. I have the ITV app running fine on my Xbox with DNS4ME, it's good BUT it doesn't do live for some reason (other platforms do but not on XBOX). I was hoping to catch the Rugby World Cup via ITV so I tried Kodi and found and ITV add-on but it doens't work. Is there anyone using an ITV Kodi add-on successfully on the Xbox one?

What version of kodi?
I know v18 has some extra capability with certain DRM .
Might be something to do with that...

Hmmm, I presume it is whatever is the latest available on xbox, but i'll check to see if there is any updates for it.

Yes, I found that one today too, it's not the one I tried originally. I'll give this one a go hopefully tonight.

Well I can get the itv add-on to sort of work, the catch-up videos play ok, but the live streams won't play, keeps telling me to check the log, I check the log but there is nothing there, I'll have to figure something else out.

I use to use ITV live TV on Kodi , stopped working a year or so ago . I have tried all updates and different DNS services but no success .

Kodi add-ons are only good while there is someone to maintain them - unfortunately they can be a bit hit and miss.

I can watch ITV live on my Apple TV and you are right can't watch live it on Kodi only on demand stuff, So if you just want it to watch RWC have a look at MATT HUISMAN he has a lot of tutorials and you could get it from Australia (And their commentators aren't biased)

Seeing as you have an xbox with dns4me you could try and get the ITV running on that if you change the country to the UK, also plenty of tutorials out there.

I'll have a look at Matt Huisman, see if I can find anything. The itv app is working ok on the Xbox but it's a limitation of the app, there is no option to live stream, I don't know why they have done that if it's a technical issue or they just didn't want Xbox owners live streaming. I may have to try and pick up a cheap fire TV stick or a Roku stick as it looks like their itv apps can live stream. Or if I can get the Android app and Chromecast to work, I didn't have much luck with that last time.

If you can get ITV live running in chrome browser you can then cast to your chromecast it works well!
