Neon seems to have a few things on it I may watch now, but when I last dipped in, most stuff was dismal quality.

Have they managed to get everything on to at least HD now? Any content on 4k?

I think when I looked into it around GoT time the answer to the HD question was still no (at least on some\most platforms?) And no surround sound or xbox client app. But yeah also curious if any of that has changed.   (as for 4K... hahahaha, good one ;D)

Their Apple TV app has been "coming soon" for about 17 years – think you might be waiting a while for 4K support.

Last I checked they were still using Flash for the browser version of Neon…

I don't have Neon, but their website says they do HD.

I emailed them last week about the long awaited Apple TV app... and the answer was something like - You can airplay.... We are always looking to improve.... and we released an app for Sony TV's recently.

So I take that as a no - not any time soon if ever.

According to their Support pages they can do HD 1080. no i or p specified.

Lol - looks like I may just avoid then! Guess I could always sign up to a free trial with a difference IP address from last time.

There is an app available on my new TV (Samsung/Tizen) hence the curiosity.

Do you think they are making it intentionally crap so inexperienced punters give up on it and stick with their Full-Fat sky subscription?

Nah, I just think they are a bit crap at apps! Looks good enough on my Sony OLED but that up scales really well it's hard to know.

Sub price is on approx $13 now so not a huge investment for a month.

I doubt it. I suspect it's a combination of Hanlon's razor and\or they just don't want to spend money on it.

That is why I happily pay more for parallel importing my HBO digital content, absolutely typical half ar$ed effort from Sky. Scratch that, thats an insult to even half ar$ed
