Facebook have been targeting me with a BritishTV.org advertising campaign (yes I am originally British and I have previously had an Acorn Tv subscription).

BritishTV.org promise access to 200 channels including UK Sky Sports and BT Sport for 8 pounds a month (48 pounds a year).

I know there are other dodgy apps that enable you to stream these channels for free. Is BritishTV.org too good to be true? Are they pirates?

Thanks!

I'd avoid.

No details available who is behind it anywhere. All registration details hidden. Privacy conditions are the standard ones provided with Wordpress.

I highly doubt all those network providers would allow their shows/events to be streamed from "any country".

The Facebook page has had no activity since November last year and the only posts are about half a dozen cut and paste jobs.

Impossible to get a legitimate feed for those channels for that price, so 100% pirated streams.  Avoid.

all those global iptvs are stolen content running out of Europe. They have no rights to restream channels and content from the legal providers.

Just flag the adverts on facebook as scams etc.

Looks like they are catching up with some of these dodgy IPTV companies

Interesting. I saw an app on the Google Play Store for something with the same name when I was searching for an Acorn app for android. It supposedly allowed streaming pretty much all British TV anywhere in the world. I thought it looked a bit too good to be true, in spite of some quite good reviews. Anyway I can't find it now - looks like it's been taken down from Google Play. Almost definitely a scam.
