Using a certain other side of the ditch dns provider, I ran the DNS test and it said it failed from this device. Any thoughts on why when, far as I know, nothing has changed.

Websites in general are also slow today. OTOH Speedtest is well into the 100s of Mbps. Am on the fabled MyRepublic.

What is "the DNS test" you speak of?

Really do need more details on what this test is...

But it does sound like your using a dns server that's not supplied by your provider, and thus for some content your not getting the on network caches returned.

Right, does this test give you any sort of detail? Maybe your public ip needs updating?

My ip never changes. It just says test failed and go to xxx to set it up, which I've done ages ago and the instructions haven't changed.
