hey all, have been trying for awhile now to get the following M3U stream to actually load a stream and channel in Emby / Jellyfin to no avail

stream: http://apsattv.com/kiwitv2.m3u

guide xml: http://i.mjh.nz/nzau/epg.xml

I have managed to load the EPG Data and this shows up in the Guide, however when clicking on one of the channels all I get is a spinning circle and the program doesn't play.

Ive trawled through forums and tried various different settings, I used VLC Media Player in the HTTP Header as well, but same result of just a spinning circle while trying to play back a channel

hopefully someone brighter than I will be able to point me in the right direction and get this working for me. thanks in advance for your help

Thanks Shaun

I'm using exactly that combination with TVirl and Live Channels on a MiBox and it works great. Also tried with a NextPVR install and ran into similar issues to what you are seeing. Guide data there, but channels not playing. I've not been able to figure out why.

In Emby I guess you have Emby Premiere ?

Did you enter the stream info here -

I have it working using NextPVR feeding Emby, but the above should hopefully work, at least for the NZ channels.

Hardly that and I have no experience with Emby. I only use Kodi on Android, which is all I need. I avoid VLC, which I have always found to be buggy and unreliable. What I do use on Windows for testing is Chrome with the Native HLS Playback extension. With the extension installed, you can play any M3U8 file in an IPTV playlist. If that works, you know there is no issue with your system. Just download the @Apsattv playlist, select a channel, copy and paste it into the browser, and hit go. It should just play if nothing is getting in the way.

I can't help you with the others apps, but I created NextPVR, which also does IPTV, and I'm happy to help with any issues with that one.

The list is pretty basic, i don't think there is any issues with the m3u format itself?

i'm curently ripping into the samsung channel plus tv service... there will be dozens of new channel coming in an update soon.

a bit of a teaser here

yes this is how I was trying to use the M3U playlist. the M3U definitely works with Kodi which have been able to setup, but liked the interface of Emby / Jellyfin better.

Thanks Shaun
