Hi.

Now that Sky killed Food TV I am looking for something as an alternative. Basically, I want what Food TV was, a channel dedicated to food, curated and watchable any time, ideally in High Definition.

Did anyone get any ideas?

A lot of the Food TV (aka Baking TV) have been spread throughout a number of Sky's other channels including Discovery Turbo which I thought was odd but sort of makes sense. You could use YouTube to find cooking related material.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Yeah. I can do that, but I don't want to, I like having Food TV running in the background etc, so I am looking for a curated channel.

The JustWatch App will help find cooking content.

There is heaps of food stuff on the streaming stuff that plex includes - perhaps look there?

Thanks. I do use Plex but have always ignored everything except my own media :)

My wife uses Sky Go to search find and cast food content and the other on demand services. She is a foodie and tells me this is better than the Food channel had become

What's on Gusto TV (On the TVNZ OnDemand App).  Have a look for content there, I can't comment on HD or not.

Failing that, looking at a UK version of Gusto TV if it's FTA and accessible via Smart DNS/VPN

Plex is great. Heaps of content including cooking to watch under live TV. You’re sure to find an interesting stream for background. Suggest GustoTV, Cooking Panda, Glewed for cooking but the streams change and you may find others.

A bit off topic foodwise, but for background I also use Plex LiveTV, *Weather Spy* channel. It has incredible shots from all over the world mostly via drones and which last a few minutes each so it’s constantly changing. Amazing earthscapes.
