Due to a sudden covid lockdown I was looking to buy a wireless wifi webcam for my lounge so my daughter can interact with her cousins on the large TV (I have no PC in the lounge and my work laptop is not suitable). I assume I don't need a camera with a speaker built in as there is one in the google home, but the image does need to stream to the chromecast connected to the TV.

I've had a look online and all the camera's suitable for this purpose are for security and include person tracking and nightvision etc. I'm not super keen to pay extra for this functionality I don't need. I've had little luck searching for suitable options for my purpose online. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions, would prefer sub $100?

I have seen that suggested but surely its just as cheap to get one those tp-link security cameras and repurpose it. Seems like a much tidier option. It would also be a juggle getting the camera, google and calling app (prob fb messenger video) to all sync up
