I had successfully installed CCAudio on my vodafone5G network. Had to reinstall it for silly reason {if it ain't broke don't fixit}. Now I'm not presented with the 5G network as an option. I'm running everything else on that...smartphone, googletv and laptop so I'm baffled. Even tried "Other networks" entering all the necessary info. but it won't connect.

My experience with CCAudio continues to be a rocky road.

Having been trouble free apparently running on my 2.4G I found that it had mysteriously switched to my 5G.I couldn't resist fiddling and lost it altogether. Managed to restore it on 2.4 and then lost it again.

Reinstalled it with Home app but it didn't appear as an available device either using Spotify on my laptop or CC on my CC enabled browser. Then I tried using Spotify app on my smartphone and found CCAudio available there. Also found that it was showing up on Spotify on my laptop and my Google browser. But it's inconsistent, had to get it back again this morning using Spotify on my smartphone, it reappeared for Spotify on my laptop but not on my browser.

 It's driving me nuts.

Problem now seems to sorted itself without any further action from me. There must have been a glitch in my wifi network that was not recognizing CCAudio for my laptop.

Problem still occurring with CCAudio disappearing from my wifi network. Simple but annoying solution...Restore Network. But does anyone have a fix to stop this happening?

This might be a long shot.

I had issues with my CC Audio, when it was powered off a USB port on my Sony TV.
Using a dedicated USB wall adapter made it come right.  Try using another USB power source as a test.

I’d second the potential impact of power supply; another issue I’ve found is some sold in NZ were parallel imported from a market with different WiFi bands - I recall these would occasionally give me problems with dropping off the network. (We have six of them around the house!)

I gave up on my lot as they never synced well enough and I ended up sending analog audio between rooms and replacing the source with a wiim mini.

Seems that if they get moved between bands or APs, they will lose their grouping often, there is not enough buffer in them when in multiroom to survive the shift if they do not lose being in the group without a dropout and they gradually get more and more out of sync when playing for a long time. When they do drop out for whatever reason their latency changes which means any correction applied in the app to fix it becomes irrelevent and needs re-doing.

The wiim mini is a much better device all around, and it has its own app that you play thru rather than relying on casting (which it also can do) so no need to keep the app running on the phone and hope that it doesnt lose the casting connection like with the CCA on every app but spotify.

Interesting, as this isn’t something I’d faced until last weekend - even with 4-5 going at once I’ve typically had no issue with syncing. I do, however, find they can annoyingly drop off the network occasionally. I’ll take a look at this Wiim product, though, as I’m always worried about the day the CCAs stop working!

The WiiM range are the best streamers around and it’s not close. I’ve had one on my outside speakers for around a year now and it’s been flawless.

Their new amp looks really nice and very well priced for what it is. If I was building a 2.0 or 2.1 system I’d be using one of those.

I'm still happy using my CC Audio but still frustrated by it frequently dropping from my network. My Googletv never does that I've checked that it's not a power supply problem but no closer to finding a solution.
