When playing YouTube full screen on iPhone have a white bar at bottom of screen. Will not go away.

 

Haven’t updated to ios18 yet, YouTube last updated 14 Sept.

 

When playing video through other services or web page the white bar disappears after 3 seconds and only reappears if tap screen. I don’t get why YouTube doesn’t do same behaviour.

Solved from Reddit:

 

Sign out, delete YouTube Applic, redownload.

 

Play one clip while signed out, bar was disappearing for me with this part as it use to.

 

Sign back in, and then it’s all back to working as normal.
