I just went to watch a live stream from the Auckland airport and find I gey a playback error message. Tried it on a phone and tablet same issue. Rebooted Chromecast but still the same. OK on non live stuff. Same on other livestream channels. Live stream works on my Amazon Fire Box

Anyone else have this issue?

Which chromecast? I would be expecting that the really old ones with poor codec support might start to lose features, I have used my round black puck style one to stream live recently ok.

Any live stream link will do but here are two that I've tried that will be up for days.

I have Google TV dongle on the bedroom Tv and that works fine as does my Amazon Fire TV box . if I can I'll attached the error message I get though from searching it's pretty generic.

I did turn off the Chromecast for a couple of hours while out today but no different.

The Chromecast model is about 5 years old I think that the model is a Chromecast Ultra but will check on that.

An update to this . Since I have had this issue I've been using my Amazon Fire box for live streaming. Yesterday I tried via the Chromecast again and it worked. I suspect that there had been a bad software update that had an issue and there was new one released this week.
