So, I subscribe to (say) 25 channels.

I see a blue dot against the channel, I sometimes watch (or partially watch) the new video, otherwise move on.

However, sometime later (e.g. same day) the blue dot is back against the channel and the same video is presented as un-watched.

YouTube knows I have partially watched a video. Is it a reminder for me, to continue watching? Even though I don't want to continue watching it?

It might be an edit or re-upload of the video for whatever reason.

Have you checked if there is a new post in the community tab or a new short?

JemS:

I have learnt 2 things:

1) I have never noticed a 'Visit Community' button before. Looking at the channels I subscribe to, most don't have one. Nevertheless, I now know.

2) The majority of the channels I use, rarely do Shorts, so I tend not to look at them. I have always wondered, how old the Short is as it is not obvious. Anyway, I now know where the date is held.
