i'll leave it for now....
so much for cloud computing being able to scale up to handle demand... that was a great selling point of cloud ages ago!!!
The little things make the biggest difference.

I get, something went wrong.
Vaccine Pass can only be generated for person who has had two jabs...
I think the system is down as I'm getting the same.
Of course its only for people double vaccinated.... Have you seen something that says otherwise?

Remember this platform needs to validate identity with other systems they don't control. Perhaps should've used the Geekzone Identity Platform?

geocom:Not exactly sure why they need to send it via email rather than just having a button on the web page as even then it still takes you to the heath website to finish that process. Also would consider it more secure to do it via the website than via a email.
Also have to wonder why apple wallets qr code is so small compared to google's seems like it will be a pain to scan compared to google pay.
MaxineN:Double tap power button and you can select cards from there.
Anyone have any suggestions on why this wont work when you only have a Vaccination Certificate stored in it. Have had a look in the settings and the double click option is enabled. However it wont work

kiwifidget:
Oh yes, fold in half then laminate would only be marginally larger than a credit card.
That's what I just did - the coloured portion folds over to be the back of the card, and the newly laminated pass fits fine in my small card-only wallet.
MaxineN:
Extremely bizarre. I would restart the iPhone.
Good thought just tried but still not working.

As a colleague of mine said this morning, did they tick the auto-scale box.....
I was surprised to see that the expiry date is 6 months after the day I requested the Covid Pass, not the date of my second vaccination per the availability of a booster.
I can't get the double-click to work either with the card in the Apple Wallet. I tried a reboot.

Got that 10+ times, then it worked.
Keep trying (perhaps at a busy time).
Assume that overloading is causing that error message (obviously a bug - should throw an overload error of some sort)

This is getting a lot of attention.
I think it is fair to say that the expiry date of the pass is nothing to do with when boosters are due, and are just a standard security feature. Assume it will be trivial to request another in a couple of months time.
Pass policy for boosters doesn't seem to have been decided, but the system does allow for passes to be voided. As such it could be added at any time.
Scott3:
But the system does allow for passes to be voided. As such it could be added at any time.
How would that work?
The QR code is static, and the scanning app apparently does not require being on line ( after the first scan) -
How can voided pass details be pushed to scanners and verification apps?

The codes are encoded with a public/private key part of the validation procedure is to check the public key is still valid if not every pass signed by the key is invalidated.
