These are the N95 masks that NXP are replacing out of stock items with:

https://www.nxp.nz/main-catalogue-productdetail/n95-particulate-respirator-mask-box-of-20/25139575

$44.80/box 20 so not that bad for N95 but no idea what they are like. However, when they are replacing a 3M order for 25 masks that was costing $90 not a great deal!

I ordered the 25x 3M P2 masks from Amazon AU last night. I figured 3M is a good brand and from Amazon they're likely to be genuine. I also have some unbranded KN95 masks my Mum got from some dodgy overseas website, they're still likely better than surgical masks as they more or less seal on the face.

So many N95 masks walking around... With gaping big out breath vents.

About time there was some clear messaging added at the hardware stores where everyone seems to be finding them.

The amount of work from refunds... It could be all reduced if their website actually had a way to see stock on hand.

These are the N95 masks that NXP are replacing out of stock items with:

https://www.nxp.nz/main-catalogue-productdetail/n95-particulate-respirator-mask-box-of-20/25139575

$44.80/box 20 so not that bad for N95 but no idea what they are like

Can anyone order from them? Im in a bit of a rush to get masks, the place I have ordered from is taking longer than they said (luckily no money put down). Want them for public hospital etc and other public locations.

Ive been wearing kn95's, I did have a couple of n95's. I have a packet of those filter things for fabric masks somewhere, but didnt end up with a fabric mask they are meant to go in (like the one the PM was wearing, not sure if she will change to n95.....)

I'm also looking to buy a couple of packs of these.
Anyone with a NXP accountt willing to get these shipped to Dunedin for me?
Happy to sort out a bank transfer payment. Send me a PM.
Thanks
Steve

No account needed with NXP - you just add to cart then can checkout as guest.

One note is that I've got both the P2/KN95 masks:

https://www.nxp.nz/main-catalogue-productdetail/3m-particulate-respirator-mask-9123-p2-pack-of-25/25137496

and also the Level 3 surgical masks:

https://www.nxp.nz/main-catalogue-productdetail/astm-f2100-level-3-en14683-type-iir-surgical-face-mask-box-of-50/25137384

My family way prefers the Level 3 surgical masks and they still offer reasonably good protection (meet the requirements under the mask mandate for people covered by the vaccination order and are also what the CDHB give out to many of their staff). The P2/KN95 mask gets very hot and is hard to wear for an extended duration if not used to it.

My older two kids who are fully vaccinated are using the Level 3 surgical masks for school, my younger child who is only partially vaccinated wants to use the P2/KN95 mask for better protection.

This sounds like a cheap and easy way to clean and reuse disposable masks.

Dr Richard Everts, an infectious disease specialist and microbiologist:

Two brands were still close to 90 per cent after 10 washes. Soaking masks in hot boiled water for five minutes had a similar effect.

Just saw the new mask ads on tv

Now campaign stipulates they must be secured by ear or head loops.

So that's buffs and tee-shirts out like was been queried

Only placed mine Monday, but haven't heard anything. Says "processing", however the masks I did order now say "PRE ORDER NOW. DELIVERY IN 1-2 WEEKS".
