Can you create an account for son who is still too young to be vaccinated (for now)... Any pros and cons if I did that?

that was not a smooth experience on my devices

failed to add on my Galaxy Note to the Pay App

-solution  copy the link in the email and paste it into the chrome browser  (was using firebox as default) then it finally added

Huawei P30 trying to add it sticks you in a browser loop where you cannot click "accept" it redirects to quickly before you can click it

-solution is to switch to the pay app manually after entering your phone password, and click accept

Whats the likelihood that boosters WILL be required in 6 months time when you need to apply for another vaccine certificate?

Highly, almost certain....

The Certificates indicate fully vaccinated, so if a booster is needed to meet that requirement, you will need a new certificate.

But you will need a new certificate anyway as they will not be valid after 6 months of issue...

Unlikely, you need their NHI...  I suspect they may reject NHIs that are not yet in the eligible population....  but YMMV

If the son is not even vaccinated, there's no reason to get the pass so why take the spot from someone trying to login for valid reasons?

Also currently only people older than 16 can register - this will change later this month.

This is my thoughts as well. I wonder why they don't just come out and say it. The government ordered 4.7 million more doses earlier this month so its plain to see a booster for everyone is in the pipeline.

I saw someone mention it, but I didn't take it with much salt (thought  surely not..) But there has been reminders in interviews/media today to not post the full QR to Socials... Oh dear.

Still the too many requests error this morning for me, but no immediate hurry since they are not being used yet. Will just hold off until closer to the time the traffic light system comes in given the 6 month expiry from issue date. May as well not use up a few weeks of that while it's not being used.

May have missed it but have they said how you renew it yet? Is it as simple as a click to request a new one or do you need a booster first? Guess advantage of waiting a couple of weeks is not having the same expiry date as everyone else and then having the same issue with everyone trying to login and renew at the same time.

It should be a click only. I had the beta version and then requested again yesterday (the beta didn't have the option to load into Google Pay). It came with new issue/expiry dates.

Managed to get two of my fully vaccinated children over 12 but under 18 through the MoH login journey via RealMe Verified Identity. They already had valid passports and I did the liveness test on RealMe much to their disgust (Dad I don't want them to hold a photo on me) and about 2 weeks later from RealMe they received the email saying they had been verified.

Tried this morning and after 10 or so refreshes on the login.health.nz site after getting 429's we eventually got through the journey.

I suspect it will be problematic for the next few days while everyone tries to get on and then it will settle down but it worked.

Now to sort out my elderly mother in law.

Yes, I have to sort the in-laws when they have some time after current issues.
