Day4 since covid test - still waiting for results.

Maybe today?

We'll be heading into 6 days later today....

Just received my result - NEGATIVE.

I still have to stay home until 24 hours have passed since my last symptoms.

Still coughing and sneezing a lot, so not today.

Great news - Was it a pop-up testing station or elsewhere?

My mate was tested on Wednesday morning at his own GP (he had cold-like symptoms) and received the results back by txt the same evening.

Also a possibility that we could boost / re-vaccinate with novovax, that we have allready on order. Only vaccine in eairly stage trials to stop the virus growing in primates noses, so could be the best at preventing transmission of covid-19. Pending more data of course.

I'm still a believer in Novavax. The results from their latest Singapore trial will be interesting, but it's also worth noting they've pushed back FDA approval yet again.

Will be so ironic if the vaccine that let NZ down so badly ended up being a significant asset to us if we use it as a 2022 booster.

Pretty sure Victoria went in to State wide lockdown 1:00pm yesterday.

Time flies. It was Saturday.

Yes. But the 12 from 65 implies that all 65 should have been isolating but only 12 were. So it seems to relate to the areas that are locked down prior to the all of state change

Reporters asked for similar 'while infectious' in the wild statistics to be added to the pressers. Will see if they managed to.

Hope so, that's been a feature there, and it 'seems" that the poor public response correlates with the cases. If we do better and the cases do better its good to see it on paper, bit of a motivator

MOH to announce 30+ cases in Nth Island

All outlets are running with that to try and be first as 'multiple sources' report 3-5 in wellington. Going to look rather stupid if it's not. But makes for a nice figure mentioning 100 right!

During the first lockdown we purchased, online, 2x2 reusable face masks with disposable filters. We have never used the filter component for them as they are also triple cloth layered. However the one thing we don't like about them is they are a bit small even though this was their largest size, at the time.

So we have been looking around for a larger sized reusable mask, similar to the ones you keep seeing being used by TV1 reporters, the PM etc. These masks, unlike ours, appear to really wrap around the whole cheek area and well down the throat neck area.

What are members preference in reusable cloth face masks ? 😷

Secondary part to this:

We are not looking for the latest trendy fashion statement facemask. So we had a look at the M10 Jobmate ones $9.98 for 5.

What I noticed was that they have a tag on them stating that they use 'nanosilver' impregnated fabric. From a medical point of view I know that medicine has been using silver since the Roman times. In modern times nanosilver is used in a truck load of medical equipment, disposable and otherwise.

Now the flat-earth, 5g and radical environmental society crowd and the like have latched on to this as another angle to their weird beliefs etc. Leaving that aside, Jobmate is their home brand out of China and my concern is how well has M10 researched the effectiveness of this 'nanosilver' impregnated fabric product. Because I am pretty certain that there has to be a minimum specification standard for nanosilver to be effective in this type of product.

Just a thought.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
