Slight topic derail - apologies.

I'm newly joined to Southern Cross (Health Insurance) - why would I want their app on my phone?

Edit: I logged in on my non-primary mobile and yea, it's just a bad version of the website.

You need to be exactly perfect with your details - it wouldn't email me a code when I put "Tim" in as my name, it wanted my exact name as recorded which is of course Jimothy.

The app has always felt like a bare minimum product - I don’t know why they even bother with it. And when they first started emailing about the change in authentication for the app only, I sent some strong feedback that it was the dumbest move ever, why would you have one way of logging in on the app and another way on the website. What was the value in that. Commit one way or the other and move on.

Thankfully I don’t need to go into the website or app often, so I only use the website now for that reason as it saves me the frustration.

I tried logging in and didn't have any problems, but it seems like a convoluted process. I don't understand why they would deviation from the normal convention of username and password. Hopefully it will stay logged in, but it's not an app that I would use regularly anyway.
