Covid 19 Delta outbreak: Case in busy Auckland bar on New Year's Eve was unvaccinated - NZ Herald

A partygoer who is now isolating at home said the bar was scanning vaccine passes.

On its Facebook page, the Longroom said it was now open after speaking with the Ministry of Health.

"We would like to reassure all our friends and fans that we have followed the Ministry of Health's advice, and have also taken extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of all our staff and customers," the post said.

Then explain an unvaccinated person inside the bar. Or is it they are following it after the event so they could reopen?

I'd be very interested to know if the person who was unvaccinated was inside the bar at the request of the person(s) organising the event that night.

I'm sure we can all remember friends pressing freshly stamped hands together to try and save money on cover charges, etc.

This should be a police case now.

If you have a booster, how do you prove you had it?

I was given no paperwork when I had mine.

So do you have to download it again to your phone or does the one you already have on your phone continue to work?

Went through the KFC drive through at lunchtime yesterday and they had a sign up saying some things would be unavailable due to supply issues

@Geektastic, you don't need to get a new vaccine pass. Currently the vaccine pass is only for the initial two course dosage.
I don't see them changing the conditions of a vaccine pass anytime soon.

But remember unvaccinaed people can have a vaccine pass if they have a medical exemption.

Yes it is probably unlikely given the number issued so far, but everybody should not just jump to the automatic conclusion that somebody either didn't have one, that it was a fake, or that the bar wasn't checking properly without knowing the full details.

Nothing at all changes with a booster. You don't need to redownload it, all current passes expire on the 1st June at the very latest regardless of when you had your booster.

The date on mine seems to be more or less a year since the original vaccinations. Not sure how that will help keep track of who's had boosters etc but as long as it works when scanned then 👍🏻
