I guess I cannot drive to see my daughter in same town? Follow 2 metre restriction where there. Doesnt seem so. But I can go to supermarket and hang around strangers?

Correct. One is necessary to have people continue to eat, the other is not.

many many online options to talk to your daughter, not many viable options to get food online (i know most do online but try getting a slot)

Nice to see TV1 Breakfast presenters sitting much further apart.   They are sitting around a big glass table probably 1.5 metres to 2 metres apart.   TV3 same as yesterday maybe a bit further apart.   What surprises me is that TV1 had split their breakfast program crew into two teams because of Covid concerns, but hadn't changed physical distancing until today.   The change they made would have taken about five minutes - take out the tiny table, move in the big table with three high chairs!  Job done.   While this change is good the photo of the Canadian tv channel shows that they are doing it better. (Photo is earlier in this thread, posted yesterday.)

City reports another alarming surge on Monday – 39 more patients confirmed as having Covid-19, most of them with a recent travel history

City’s leader warns of a ‘critical situation’ and appeals for vigilance and compliance with home-quarantine orders

Since February, three people who came to Hong Kong from mainland China have been prosecuted for breaking quarantine orders.

Another five coming in from overseas have done the same, two of them leaving home to play basketball, and 36 have absconded from home quarantine.

Lam announced that starting from Tuesday midnight, non-residents would not be allowed into Hong Kong, transit passengers included, for a two-week period.

Doesn't look good for voluntary compliance

Can we please tidy up quoting before posting. All that dead space is annoying and totally unnecessary. It is especially frustrating on small screens.

thanks

Ummmm I kind of want to buy a Playstation for the lockdown.

Any chance in that? Will the Warehouse be open on Tuesday?

Please also provide links or attribution. There's a lot of nonsense out there at the moment and it's important to be able to see where information comes from and assess it's credibility.

I have one last thing to ask in this thread. My experience over decades in social services tells me that over the next few months there will be a marked increase in domestic violence. It will occur over all        socio-economic groups. Please be vigilant of your neighbours, friends and family.

Yes the Warehouse is open, though gaming is flying off the shelves.

Here is a very interesting article in the New York Times (non-premium)

The virus Can Be Stopped, but Only With Harsh Steps, Experts Say
Scientists who have fought pandemics describe difficult measures need to defend the United States against a fast-moving pathogen

It is long, so make a cup of coffee and put your feet up.
