astrial: New Zealand (if I recall correctly) also imports something like half of the world's production of PKE.



Nah we're a small player in the PKE market. Europe really drives the price of PKE due to the quantities that they buy.

Cows are herbivores, and by definition are supposed to eat plants, any plant material is fine if they like it.

Cows will eat just about anything plant based, and will actively seek out things they like. They also like variety just like we do.


You're kinda right but kinda wrong.

That can eat lots of things, doesn't mean it's good for them. Cows that eat grains get sick and require more medicines to keep them alive. It also screws up the nutrient profile and flavor of the meat.

For example, humans can survive off a diet of nothing but McDonalds. Doesn't mean it's ideal though.
