Mike, how did you come to get 3 primary shots? Re a 4th shot for you, AFAIK they're all the same Pfizer dose anyway. I'd happily rush off and get a 4th if it was offered. I had no reactions to 1 and 2. After getting the third the jab site was slightly sore for a couple of days. I'm 81.

In December people who are seriously immune compromised became eligible for a 3rd Primary dose. I received mine just before Christmas. This had to be done by a prescription by my GP under special authority and I had to sign that I understood the risk and agree to have the dose. I was advised that this not the same as the booster.

I come eligible for the booster in March.

networkn: To be honest, I've sent my kids to school seemingly well to have them develop illnesses during the day.

That's not really the same thing, is it?

Had my booster yesterday, 4 months since my 2nd.

Sleep didn't come to me last night, and I have slight muscle soreness - thankfully nothing like after my second.

I had mine at 10am yesterday. I was fine for the rest of the day and my sleep didn't suffer too much last night but I have a very mild headache and problems concentrating this morning. I'm reasonably confident I'll be over it by the end of the day.

Overall the side effects for me have been very similar to the second dose - maybe slightly more mild.

Anecdotally among people I know the side effects seem to be worse among women and people in their 30s/40s than for men and people in older age groups. Has anyone noticed this, or is it just a statistical anomaly among my social group?

We have all had the booster. Wife and daughter had varying levels of reactions to some of jabs, but not others.

I'm 64 and had absolutely no reaction to any of the jabs. Had to check for the needle mark to confirm I had actually had them.

A day (Monday, booster administered Sunday around midday) of tiredness, achy and a headache. Ate paracetamol which helped loads. A good night sleep and back to normal again now!

None of my older peer group had symptoms other than tiredness and anti g to sleep it off. Himself 7 years older, sailed through with none at all. I got extreme tiredness after six hours and slept a lot. The second one was different, my face became slightly red and swollen, plus low grade fever but then came right by third day.

I understand it’s good if you do get symptoms as it shows that your immunity is working, so it makes sense that older people without a strong immune system would not have as many symptoms as the young.

Apparently not. Your immediate response to the injection doesn't predict how well the vaccine is going to work.

"The bottom line is you can’t gauge how well the vaccine is working within your body based on what you can detect from the outside. Different people do mount stronger or weaker immune responses to a vaccine, but post-shot side effects won’t tell you which you are. It’s the second, adaptive immune response that helps your body gain vaccine immunity, not the inflammatory response that triggers those early aches and pains." https://theconversation.com/no-vaccine-side-effects-dont-tell-you-how-well-your-immune-system-will-protect-you-from-covid-19-158728

There were around 800 new cases reported yesterday and the day before 12th and 13th of February. Apparently there have been 981 new cases reported today. Has anyone seen analyses of these figures that indicate how many of these cases were un-vaccinated, or had one jab, two jabs, three jabs etc?

Details are here:

COVID-19: Case demographics - Vaccination Details

The totals are cumulative since 16 Aug 2021

I'm mid-fifties and had a 38c temperature over 12 hours a day after the booster.

Ok, a few hours later and it is now kicking me harder than the second did.

I am almost completely useless at work and should probably just go home and try to get some sleep

Bung and Clinty: Much thanks for those links. Both provide extremely interesting data.

Cheers :-)
