chevrolux: Person in high-vis was standing by the closed door with few people standing around. But best of all, a Police car was there too.

Just as I was typing this too, got a message from the Newbury Hall managers to say the hall was booked for a health and safety seminar, and that they have cancelled this booking after finding out want it was.

Good work. After these kind of people try to disrupt the vaccine booking website, nothing like disrupting the grift.

If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.

This might be some useful evidence from the US, to highlight the rarity of anaphylaxis with the Pfizer covid vaccine:

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34463744/

Of ~8000 people with allergies, 429 “highly allergic” people were then followed. 420 didn't have an immediate reaction… and only 2 had anaphylaxis.

Given that the Pfizer jab is mRNA, many people who cant get vaxxed for other things can get this one. Other vaccines have different risk because they either use “dead” or “live attenuated“ viruses.

This is in part why the mRNA vaccine thing is such a brilliant breakthrough in general (research has been ongoing for 20 years). The real breakthrough in this in the last 18 months is the nano lipid capsule it is encased in, which has meant it can be administered effectively - this is the bit about the col chain/freezers etc.

Of note it is this fat and another ingredient that people are allergic to. Both of which are so rare, basically there aren’t even good numbers on how many people it effects and we have probably rounded the number up to 100.

It is so successful they are now trialling HIV and Malaria vaccines off the back of this work on Covid…
